Soda Bottle Terrarium

                          Image result for sealed terrariums

Dear Parents,

As you know, next week is sports week so we'll be preparing for the Saturday activity during experience class next week. However, Teacher Jessica and I feel this week and next week is also the perfect time to squeeze in a quick group project to better our children's understanding of habitats and biomes. Before the end of this unit next week I would like to gather all necessary materials to begin our sealed terrarium project.  Each group will create one terrarium. Hereinafter is our materials list;

A 2 liter soda bottle
Small rocks (*2 cup)
Charcoal (1 cup) can be found at a supermarkets or plant store.
Soil (about 3 cups)
5 different types of miniature plants that can fit in the bottles
**Optional: little people/animals/houses (figures)

I'd like the items to be present by Wednesday next week, that way we can begin the project on Friday.

Dear Parents,

Welcome back, I hope everyone is well rested and had a fun few days with family and friends. Due to two shortened weeks because of holiday schedule and testing, we will not be testing the unit Henry and Mudge until the Second Monthly Exam.
